Fall, a time where the leaves start to change colors, the temperature begins to drop and you can feel a crispness in the air. The days become shorter & the nights become longer as we move into the darker half of the year.
It is a time of transition. A time of reflection. A time to restore yourself.
Just as the trees shed their freshly colored changed leaves, we shed what no longer serves us and our new visions/thought patterns.
It is a time where we can easily become overwhelmed as we process our personal reflections. We become spacey and a little lost at times. We become un-grounded. Un-rooted.
Maybe we can learn a few things from those trees. Their leaves change colors & they fall to the ground, yet the tree itself does not move. It doesn’t start to uproot its own roots. It just is. The tree is still the same tall, deeply rooted plant it always was. It just changes some aspects of itself. It sheds what it needs to in order to sustain a new season of its life.
“The trees are about to show us just how beautiful it is to let dead things go.”
If we ground ourselves deep into the Earth, we too can shed what we need to in order to sustain our new season of ourselves. Without feeling depleted. Without feeling confused or spacey. But feeling safe. Feeling energized. Feeling connected & grateful for what brought us to where we are today, where we see (or desire) ourselves going and our journey all along the way.
These tools, tips & tricks will remind you that no matter what’s going on in your life as we transition into the darker, colder part of the year, you are exactly where you are supposed to be. You have roots. Deep, strong roots. You are safe. You are supported. You can survive any storm.
Grounding brings earthy energies into the body, connecting us with the Earth & the Universe around us. It also heals physical & emotional traumas to allow you to release fear or anything holding you back.
To ground yourself, you need to balance and cleanse your root chakra, which keeps us grounded and linked to the earth. When we lack sufficient energy in our root chakra, we are ungrounded, we tend to question our value, feel scattered, or feel disconnected with ourselves and the Earth.
There are many ways to ground yourself. Through visualization/meditation, epsom salt, yoga and of course, crystals. My favorite grounding crystals are Black Tourmaline, Hematite and Shungite, just to name a few.
Black Tourmaline is used as a protective shield against any negative entities or energies bombarding your energy field. It is my favorite protection stone. It evaporates any fearful or negative thoughts so that you can move along your journey without anything holding you back from reaching your highest potential.
Hematite is holds a very powerful grounding energy which feels like you are being rooted down into the Earth. You can feel a magnetic energy which makes you more balanced, calm and centered. Hematite also gets rid of any negative energy within your body or aura, sucking it out of you into itself.
Shungite is a strong choice for balancing root chakra issues, which in turn grounds you. Shungite helps you deal with your emotions, toxic thoughts and anything that no longer serves your highest good. It gives you the strength to cut the cords that hold you back from being the best version of yourself.
Another amazing way to ground yourself is by going out and spending some time in nature. Without your phone. Without distractions. Just you, the wind and the beautiful trees and plants around you. Often if I feel scattered or anxious, spending time in nature does wonders for me. Take some deep, yogic breaths while your out there. Bring some of your crystal friends with you for extra grounding and protection energies. Stare at the trees. Stand tall like the trees. Try and think of ways that you can be more like that tree.
Just look at the beautiful world around you. Connect with it. Be one with it. It’s waiting to give you all that you’ve ever dreamed of. You just need to be open on how you will receive it.
